Pre-Retirement Committee

  Hello Sisters and Brothers,
So much has changed and their is a lot that we still do not know. But on February
2, 2005 the pension plan was turned over to the PBGC and what you must do now is
call the (PBGC)@ 1.800.400.7242 to start your pension payments for anyone
retiring.
Or you can find a detailed FAQ on their website ( www.pbgc.gov ) for answers
to your question, or you can always call the Union office. @412.472.7336 or
412.472.4281 or 412.472.7879 or you could call anyone on the Committee. The 60
day notice is not used by the PBGC rules but it will take time to get your
pension benefit check.
